Having peace is something that deepens as you continue your journey with Christ. I became a believer in the 7th grade but that didn’t necessarily mean I had peace right there and then in my heart. It’s something that has grown in me as I read the word, sing worship songs and watch sermons. No matter what we are always going to have problems in this life.
We live in a fallen world. We are not of this world. We are Gods children and someday when we die we will be brought up to the sky with Him. (Genesis 15:5). However, God says take it into your heart because He has over come the world. Joyce Meyers said in one of her Daily devotionals that she believes the heart is the most important body part/organ because you can give it to God.
Joyce Meyer; “Spiritually speaking, I believe the heart is the most important aspect of the spiritual body. And it is the most important thing the believer or the leader can give to God. That is why the condition of our heart is so important. It is not lack of ability or potential that prevents most people from making progress and enjoying fulfillment in life; I believe it is wrong heart attitudes.”
John 16:33 “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
Prayer starter: Lord, please help myself and others today gain peace in you. I pray today that if whoever is reading this hasn’t accepted you into their heart as their Lord and Savior. I pray that they do that right now. Amen.
