Boundary’s

It’s important to surround ourselves with Godly people. When we set bounarys this is healthy. When we put up walls it is not. There is a differance. We need to be able to communicate with people if we have been hurt before. I for one have had to learn to set up boundary’s instead of walls. I’ve learned to communicate to people who want to be in my life. I say look, I’ve been hurt in the past and if you disrespect me or treat me poorly then I won’t let you in my life. Putting up walls is much different this, this is what I used to do. It’s saying look, Ive been hurt before and I’m not going to be hurt again so I won’t let you in my life at all. The difference is boundary’s give you an opportunity to have a healthy relationship with someone and walls don’t at all. Ask your self today are you putting up walls or boundary’s?

We as Christians should be aiming to be the salt of the earth. (Matthew 5:13). We need to be courteous, kind and pleasant towards one another in order to show divine grace. To have salt in our lives means to be purified and persevere. This also means to also be at peace with yourself and others. Ask yourself today how you can be the salt of the earth?

Colossians 4:6 “Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.”

Prayer Starter: Lord, please help me today be gracious, seasoned with salt so I’ll know how to answer each person. Please help me set up boundary’s and not walls. Amen.
