Ecclesiastes 4:9-12: Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.10 For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! 11 Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? 12 And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Two is better than one. God made us in His perfect image. He will always put things in our lives with His perfect timing. With out God life is meaningless. Chapter four talk’s about the oppression, discrimination, power hungry, money hungry and lust’s that Soloman was expressing in the bible. We as Christians are not only members of society but have a family duty as well. We need to be encouraging one another to stay away from greed or envy. Instead, we need to encourage one another to focus on trusted friendships with eachother other.
We are the body of Christ and are called to consider one another before we consider ourselves. We need to share our accomplishments, down fall’s and live our life how God’s calls us. We are all apart of the body of Christ. Some things I’m not capable of doing my friend or family member can execute perfectly and vice versa. We are all called to our own unique gifts from God in order to unite together as one whole body of christ. The arm can’t do what the leg can do and vice versa. When we all come together, we build a strong foundation. When we choose to divide, we fall apart.
Prayer Starter: Lord, please help me today bring people together with trusted freidnships. Please help me be open with my accomplishments, down falls and give me the strength to live my life for how you called me to do so. Thank you for creating me in your perfect image with my own unique gifts. Amen.
