Sowing What You Reap

I learned this morning from Galatians in the bible that Christians are supposed to help those who are sinning and bring them back to God. In other words to help other Christians to repentance. This means to help them stop sinning and turn the other direction. However, the bible warns us that we have to be very careful to not let the people we are trying to help corrupt us as we do so. I believe we are put in other peoples lives for a reason. I’ve found my self in the past enduring others stress, pain and overwhelming emotions.

In the end I couldn’t help that person because they were in denial of knowing God and didn’t want to change. They didn’t want to get better for themselves and that breaks my heart. I had to walk away for my own health after I had learned they didn’t want to get better. God can help them but because God’s gives us free will to follow Him or not they are able to choose not to. God is not a dictator. He want’s us to come to Him by choice because he loves us. I know God is still working on this person to this day and all I can do is pray for them at this point. However, the harvest is coming and we can’t stop doing good for others and spreading the word! I still try to help this person when they reach out but only through faith in God can they over come their problems and repent.

It’s true that what we do here on earth will be rewarded in Heavan. However, Paul say’s God still gives us free choice to make our own decisions, as mentioned above. We deserve death for our sins but Jesus came to die on the cross for us so we can have eternal life with God! This is great news! God’s grace and forgiveness of our sins brings our life purpose. This is why I want this person that I’m trying to help so much have a relationship with God. I want them to feel happy, loved, supported and all the wonderful fruits of the spirit that comes to us the closer we get to God. That is why we need to talk positivity about Jesus and what He has done for us on the cross. Christians are to live a fruitful life. We plant seeds every day in our daily lives to produce “crops.” This will ultimately decide how we live in Heavan.

Galatians 6: 7-8: “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, butthe one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.”

Prayer Starter: Lord, I pray that anyone struggling with stress, pain or overwhelming emotions becomes a new creation through faith in Christ. Amen.
