Romans 15:4

Ask yourself today, what does hope mean to you? Hope to me in a way is to have the courage to keep on going. To keep reading my Bible, praying to God and worshiping Him. God gave us the Bible to tell us about history and what happened to His people in the past. They were persecuted, beaten and thrown in jail for believing in Him.

The Bible however tells us this was written because God knew that we would need detailed information to guide us to do His will next. As Christians we are always being attacked by Satan. We always have and always will have to endure hard times, difficult situations and unpleasant processes without giving up on the fact that one day God will come and rescue us.

We as Christians are not of this world. This is a fallen world. This means we need to be all the more careful with what we do, say and how we treat others. Christians are called to love, support others, give hope and confidence (not just with other Christians but with non believers as well).

If you don’t already show others love, support, hope or confidence in Gods name or If you feel a calling to do so. Then, simply ask God to help you! He will tell you what to do! I don’t only have a desire that God will come back and rescue me but I have the expectation. I trust God. I believe that He died on the cross to forgive me of my sins and He will one day come again.

Romans 15:4 “For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.”

Prayer Starter: Lord, please help us all today show not only you but each other love, support, hope and confidence in Your name. Thank you for giving us the endurance and encouragement as we read scriptures to share your word. Amen.
