Joyce Meyer gave an amazing sermon today on Living a life you love! I would encourage everyone to watch it. She spoke about waiting for the Lord and not doing anything in your own timing.
She speaks about how when an opportunity came along in her life that she could have taken. God told her to wait on Him and lean on Him instead of learning on man.
She really wanted to take the offer the man had given her but she choose not to and instead, listen to God. This shows she has great courage and strength in God to get her to where she needs to be in His perfect timing.
Not her own earthly desirable timing. Joyce is an example for us all!
Sometimes waiting for the Lord and letting our hearts take courage is a lot harder than if we would have just done something quickly ourselves when we wanted it to happen in our own timing.
Usually when its God timing it takes a lot longer than we expect. This is because we aren’t ready yet for what He has in store for our future. He has a plan for each and everyone of us.
He needs to take us too low lows and wait in order to prepare us for the high highs Hes planed for us. His plan is always so much better than anything we could ever imagine.
It’s pushing our own wants and desires to the side. Instead trusting and living by what God want’s us to do in His perfect timing. Ask yourself today. How can you be strong, let your heart take courage in order to wait for the Lord?
Psalm 27:14 “Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!”
Prayer Starter: Lord, please help me today let go of my own desires and have the courage to do what you made me to do here on this earth. Please help me to stay true to you and my morals. Amen.
