We as Chrsitans get peace from God. He lives in our hearts and through Him we gain peace. We have to be asking ourselves do we allow for God to give us peace? Are we complaining, talking poorly of one another or being negative? Or are we allowing peace to enter into our hearts with complimenting one another, talking highly of each other and being positive?
Especially around the holidays with family its important that we as Christians are bringing peace to celebrate Jesus birth. You can choose to have peace in your heart about anything if you ask Jesus. My grandfather helped raise me and although I was sad when my father figure had died. When I asked Jesus for help I eventually gained peace.
Sometimes peace doesn’t always happen right away, right when we want it to but it will eventually happen. I’ve been thinking about my grandfather a lot lately and I know that he would want me to have peace in my heart. I miss him greatly but he is here in spirit. Just like Jesus we will all die and raise again to be with God in His Kingdom for ever and ever. I’m able to have peace in my heart about that.
John 16:33 “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
Prayer Starter: Lord, please help myself and others today gain peace about any situation we are lacking peace in. Thank you for giving us peace in areas in our lives that you have. I pray today that we as Christians bring peace unto others. Amen.
