Putting your trust in God

Psalms describes God as being our protector. He stands in front of us like a heavy metal shield waiting to protect us from whatever life throws at us. Just as a shield straps around one side of your body and wrap’s around you. As does God in every aspect of your life. He will protect you against blows and missiles; hardships and heartache. God makes our lives easier. Not only does he give us services but He gives us the resources we need at the exact time we need them. Sometimes we don’t even notice this until we look back and think. We as Christians are called to serve Him in every single way. He assists us through life and knows exactly what we are going through. We don’t ever have to worry about going to Him with our problems because He already knows exactly what we are thinking or feeling at every given time. He knows what was, what is and what is to come.

Psalm continues to talk about how our soul waits for the Lord. Soul is defined as the spiritual or immaterial part of a human being or animal, regarded as immortal. With that being said, when you feel energy… Good or bad… Your soul is the one feeling it. When you feel tense situations relate that to when you feeling calm situations. Your soul feels it. This is something we all must listen to in order for God guide us in the right directions. That subtle little voice telling you to do something or not to do something. Thats the holy spirit. The word soul can also be defined as being revealed in a work of art or an artistic performance. God uses us to work in His perfect way.

I was a dancer my whole life and when I dance it makes me the happiest I have ever been. It’s like nothing in the world can touch me when I dance, all my problems just seem to disappear. It’s the best feeling. Its an outlet for me to let out stress, negativity or toxicity in a healthy way. As I’ve grown up I have also come to learn that God is the best outlet I have to let our these emotions out on. Who else is going to listen to me at 2 am when I can’t sleep or when I’m in a rush and can’t find a spot to park in at the grocery store? We need to be asking ourselves today. Are we waiting for the Lord in a trusting way? Are we not letting our emotions drive our decisions but Instead letting God order our foot steps for the plans He has for us?

Psalm 33:20 “Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield.”

Prayer Starter: Lord, please help me today wait on you by trusting in you. I know you have big plans for my life. Please help me to do your work by ordering my foot steps. Amen.
