Giving your emotions to God

God will show up and give us the grace we need every single time. Joyce Myer said it best in her devotional today. She said that Satan is the real enemy and he is the one trying to make you angry. Not other people. Anger is a feeling and we must control our emotions. God has given us free will therefor, we get to choose how we think and react certain things. You’re given the choice to think negatively or positively. Your mind set will in turn show by how you teat people and react to situations. If you are thinking positively your more likely to treat others better than when you are thinking negativly. The same goes for how you choose to respond to situaitons. God gives us free will because He loves us and wants us to make our own decisions in life by following Him.

Ephesians 4:26-27 says there will be times when you feel frustrated, annoyed, displeased and hostile but this is not an excuse to act immoral. This does not give you transgression against Gods law. We are still to obey Him despite how we feel. Dont go to bed angry at one another when you rest your head to sleep at night. The devil prowls around like a roaring lion waiting to devour you at every turn (1 Peter 5:8). When we choose not to relay on God as our solid foundation and let our emotions run wild. That is letting Satan in. We have the omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent Jehovah by our side every second of the day. God has already fought this battle and won.

Ephesians 4:26-27 “Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil”

Prayer Starter: Lord, please give me the strength today and everyday to control my emotions. Please help me to lean on you when I start to loose control of my emotions and know that everything will be okay. Amen.
