This morning when I opened up my bible this verse really stood out to me.
Colossians 2:5″ For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit and delight to see how disciplined you are and how firm your faith in Christ is.
Jesus lives in us and we need to continue to live our life in Him. Rooted by strength in faith alone. Faith in Jesus became possible when we accepted Him into our life as Lord and Savior. Instead of depending on spiritual force’s and deceptive philosophy, the bible tells us we need to be focusing on Christ above. Instead of earthly, human traditions here below. Set your mind on on Heavenly goals and attributes.
Jesus has risen from the grave and one day we will rise with Him too! I personally can’t wait to meet Jesus face to face and be with Him for eternity in Heavan! We have freedom from human rules on earth because we are to abide by God’s rules in Heavan. Set your mind on the future and where you are headed.
“We must not lose connection with the head from the whole body supported and held together by ligaments and sinews as we grow” Colossians 2:19 tells us.
Colossians is saying we need to depend on God so immensely spiritually that it is equivalent with how we relay on our ligaments and sinews to hold our head to our body. God hold’s us together and help’s us grow even when we don’t notice it or aren’t thinking about it. Just how our ligaments and sinews do with our bodys. He is always there even when we can’t see, hear or feel Him.
Here is something to consider today. How can you right now be present in spirit and show God how disciplined you are in your faith?
Prayer Starter: Lord, please help me today be present with you in spirit. Please help me grow and show my disciplined faith more and more everyday. I want to stand firm, rooted in you. Amen.
