Freedom

God has given us the power to speak, act and think with out restrain. He has given us free will because He loves us. When you love someone you don’t try to control them. There is a saying that goes “if you love something so much, set it free and if it comes back to you it’s yours forever. If it doesn’t it was never meant to be.”

God did not create us to bow down subject to foreign demonization or the government. We are to bow down to God and God alone. (Exodus 20:3-5).
God did not create us to be imprisoned or enslaved but, to act as we wish in reflection to almighty Jehovah. Habakkuk 2:14 tells us “the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD.”

We as Christians need to maintain our positions in the church and uphold one another to Godly standards. We need to lean on God as our solid unyielding surface of structure. He is the rock on which we stand.

Ask yourself, Is God your rock? Or are you relaying on other things in your life to be your rock?

Isaiah 28:16 “Therefore thus says the Lord God, “Behold, I am the one who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: ‘Whoever believes will not be in haste.’

God did not create us to be unhappy or live difficult lives especially because of other people, situations or things. People today are still suffering from slavery daily. As Christians, we are called to help others from oppression, slavery and bondage.

Galatians 5:1 “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.”

Jesus refers to the yoke in the bible being a harness around an OX. The ox is pulling equipment with the harness tied around both the cart and the ox. Jesus says “Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matthew 11:29).

Psalm 18:2 “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

Prayer Starter: Lord, Please help me today learn from you to find rest in my soul. Help me today and through out the week be gentle and lowly in heart. Thank you for setting me free. Amen.
