Humble In Christ

Christ called us to build up the church with one another. Ephesians mentions that Christians shouldn’t act immature. In fact, we need to conduct ourselves in a way that is mature and pleasing to God. By this, the Bible means not letting every up and down we go though in our daily lives control our emotions. Don’t focus on drama, focus on God.

According to Ephesians 4:9 the Bible talks about he who “ascended” says that he too also “descended” to lower earthy regions. This verse describes how Jesus ascended higher than all the heavens.

However, He descended first to our earthly level. He did this to understand us on a deeper level than anyone could ever imagine. This is so we as Christians, can work and do the same service as Christ for others, as He did for us.

We need to be planted deep in Christ. No matter what twist and turn’s this world may throw at us, we don’t need to react in anyway because we already know that we are planted in Him.He forgave us of our sins. He has already fought the battle and WON! This is great news!

He always works whatever situation we are going through in our lives out for our good. He is literally our solid foundation. The rock on which we stand. Therefor, we as Christians do not have to worry about what will happen next. We already know what will happen next.

Ephesians 4:2 tells us that we are taught to live in the world. God tells us we need to put the former way of life away because its corrupt with deceitful desires. We are to be made “new” not only with ourself but with the way we think and our attitudes. Especially towards others.

To be made “new” means that we are discovered and introduced for the first time. Our old self doesn’t exist anymore. We all as Christians should be aiming to be like God, filled with righteousness and holiness. Ephesians tells us not to sin especially in anger and don’t lie.

Don’t go to bed upset and never let the devil have any position or say in your life. Share with others who are in need Ephesians tells us, listen to others, work with our hands and talk in a way that brings good health or physical well being.

We should all be working towards being more kind and compassionate towards one another, filled with forgiveness because God forgave us. Ephesians also tells us to never be bitter, in raged, angered, to speak in a slow lazy way, cuss, lie, spread rumors or have the intention to do evil. These are all not of God.

Ephesians 4:9 “He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens in order to fill the whole universe.”

Prayer Starter: Lord, please help me today descend to lower earthy regions with you by my side. Help me bring others up in a way that we can all ascend together focusing on you. Help us humble ourselves and live life more like you. Amen.
