Godly Relationships

In Luke 16:9 God is speaking to us. He tells us to make friends not because of what they have, do for a living or based on money. In other words you shouldn’t have to buy your friends or only be friend’s with someone because of what they have or give you. You build relationships off of mutual patience, love, understanding and grace. I believe as a Christian that the true relationships have Godly qualities to them. I know I’ll see other Christians in Heavan again someday. I want them to remember me for how I treated them and not because of the things I had. I’ve made friends before in the past based on looks, money and things they had. This was unrighteous of me. I’ve learned as I walked further in my relationship with God that the real relationships you build with others in a Godly way are so much more rewarding than the ones you make in an Ungodly way. Godly relationships are morally right and justifiable.

Prayer Starter: Lord, please help me today to see people for how you see them. Please help me be patient with them, understanding, loving and show them grace. Thank you for showing me what a Godly relationship looks like so I can go out and share it with others. I pray today you give others the strength to do this as well. Amen.
