Under 2 Peter 3:16 the bible specifically says that there is meaning to what you say and do in others lives. There are consequences for your actions, good or bad. Some consequences are hard to understand and some aren’t. Peter talks about “Final Words” and how the ignorant and unstable will twist their words or actions to lead to their own destruction. This happens time and time again in the bible but today we are specifically focusing on 2 Peter 3:16-17.
We as Christians know this and we are supposed to make sure we are not engaging in lawless behavior whatsoever. God doesn’t want us to do harm to others In fact, He want’s us to do good Godly things in order to serve Him. Law’s are in place for a reason they are supposed to keep civilization civilized. Just how God’s commandment’s are in place for a reason. They are supposed to be your guide for when you don’t know what to do.
Peter talks about how we all need to be focusing on growing in grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Peter goes onto say that when we do this, not only will we bring God glory here on Earth but we will bring Him glory in Heavan!
God doesn’t want us to be unstable. He want’s us to be stable! If you find your self being really happy one second and they really sad the next, take it to God because He will heal you. When I say take it to God I mean pray to Him about it. If you tend to be unpredictable God can and will help you and He want’s to help you!
It’s true that stable people tend to have long and satisfying relationships. Personal stability is a life style choice from well thought out decisions, behaviors and even mood swings. Being considered stable is not over looked and yet it’s the key to well-being. Stability can determined your emotional and professional success as will.
So, stand firm in your positions and continue with out change. Be sweet and love one another dearly. Follow the law and most importantly, follow Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
2 Peter 3:17: You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability.
Prayer Starter: Lord, thank you for today and giving me the choice to follow you. I would be lost with out you, prayer, worship and your word. I pray that through out this week when I find my mood start to shift you help me through this and get back on the right track. I pray you help me take the time to slow down and think things through. Lastly, I pray that you make me sensitive to acknowledging that your way is the way to eternity and the worlds way is not. Amen.
